You arent supposed to have lead acid batts in the cabin, because they release toxic gases. That is some serious bullshit, on top of the fact it can't be a kinetik. Sonic probably had no idea. Just put it back on the shelf and gave it to you when you bought the battery. I would definitely hit them up professionally and explain the situation. Dear Jake, We are terribly sorry for any concern you have experienced regarding the Kinetik product that you ordered from us. We were unaware of this ourselves, so we have been in touch with Kinetik to determine why this has happened. After speaking with their technicians, they have indicated that their batteries are actually manufactured in the same warehouse and use the same cases as the Universal Battery. The factory has indicated that they may have used some preprinted cases by mistake. Kinetik has indicated they can mail you a new sticker for the battery if you wish. Please let us know if you would like this to be done so we can notify the manufacture. Once again we apologize for any confusion/inconvenience this has caused you! Sonic Electronix Support 877-289-7664 I havent confirmed this with Kinetik. I think its kinda stupid they only offered to replace the sticker just in case the factory mixed a pallet up, I guess that could just be Sonic talking but whatever besides that I never had a complaint about that battery so I'll deal with it.
