Burning songs onto cds

Does it take away sound quality when you burn songs onto cds. I know adding songs onto ipods will sometimes cause certain songs to clip if you dont have your system tuned out to the ipod...but I mostly prefer to use my ipod. Im only asking this because im going to make a cd or playlist based from bumpin92's songs since the songs, I know, are not clipped. Thank you in advance.

Are they mp3 songs? If so burn it at the same compression rate and there should be no quality lost, not that there is a ton of relative quality in mp3's.
