all4spl Posted March 30, 2012 Author Report Share Posted March 30, 2012 So while my car was in the shop for near a month I made a new enclosure. I also made a big math error on the width. Meh we are all human, so instead of just junking it, I decided to recycle it and make a newer box with a 6" aero port. Here is what the box started out as. And here are some of the steps in recycling it to a new enclosure. And here it is prior to being loaded in the car. And here it is in the hatch. The low bass response is much greater with this box. Here is a quick video I did in the driveway, I may do more just gotta find a spot where I don't piss off all the neighbors. Posted my review then slept for 2 hours, cause i was tired! LOL Anyway here are the photos and the last video which you can compare to my New Aero Box video for the flexing difference. So they went from mounted on the back of the back seats to mounted to MDF strips carpeted that are mounted to the sub box. This is for now, I may change it but not sure I like the way it looks just want to do some more with the wiring to clean it up a bit, since my goal is to keep it clean while not modifying the interior panels (cutting or etc). all4spl Posted April 30, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 30, 2012 A few cosmetic improvements and some audio improvements done recently as well. First all the doors had the same ugly blue/black line fabric from the factory on it, so since I got new seat covers I decided to change those to something a bit more stylish. I went with Black Recaro mesh fabric and it looks to me awesome and I did the rear doors in Overkill from Second Skin. I also made a new bracket to hold my fuse under the hood.
