I'm working with limited space behind the seat (don't know the exact amount of space yet) and i don't wanna eliminate the center seat for a console type enclosure. I'm lookin for immaculate sound quality (rock and rap) and still have that deep BOOM (rap). My thought is 2 Sundown SD-2 10s. Its mounting depth is only 4 7/8 inch but they have no recommendations for a box. I'm also not sure if i would go with ported or sealed. I've looked at shallow mount subs but I don't think I can get what I'm lookin for out of the shallows. I'll get the specs for the space behind the seat soon but until i get that, what would you guys do if it was ur system. Thanks in advance.

jbrann Posted February 8, 2012 Author Report Posted February 8, 2012 I'm guesstimating about 55" side to side and about 8" in depth with the seat forward 1 notch. I'm thinking of running the hifonics 1500 mono (1500watts 1 ohm). Subs are 500 rms a piece. I can wire the dual 2 ohm subs to 1 ohm right? or is that the dual 4 ohm?

It'd only be at the most 8 to 9" at the bottom of the box... and i've never heard any 8" subs of any kind for that matter live. You think they'd get the job done?

The higher the more amperage it pulls, this is what I look at.
