pa-pa-platypus Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 what sub(s) you going to be using? and for future reference (dont mean this mean) when you build an enclosure its usually better to plan the box as a whole first (port, sub placement, etc) usually yields better results, the only exception is have seen many people build a shell for a wall the biggest they can get and go from there which usually work out rather well but for this situation prior planning would be beneficiary This isn't teeball. YOU DO NOT GET A TROPHY JUST BECAUSE YOU SHOW UP. Put the work in and then maybe get the respect when it has been earned 151.6 with single 12 at 41 hz 153.2 with 2 12's at 43 hz power: dd m4

Joe X Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 Well you should never do a cubic box, if it's already done you would have around 2.5 cubic feet of interbal volume, enough for a 12 inch subwoofer, take a look at a design like that: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 32.279 Hz Vb = 2.549 ft^3 Subwoofer Mounting = Front Mounted External Height = 20 in External Width = 20 in External Depth = 20 in Port Width = 2 1/16 in Cut List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: Front & Back = 20 x 20 Left & Right Sides = 18 1/2 x 18 1/2 Top & Bottom = 20 x 18 1/2 L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 16 7/16 x 18 1/2 Extension = 12 9/16 x 18 1/2
