Cole Hedden
So I decided to build a box for a RE audio SRX 15. I picked up my mdf today and Ready to start tomorrow. I've already Crunched my numbers in a box calculator but I'd like to put it up here and get some advice Incase I've made some sort of catastrophic mistake or something hahha. http://gyazo.com/45a....png?1329114618

jbiddle.com
build your box like this you wont be dissapointed you should build a slot ported box with the sub on the top and the port facing the trunk lid of the car. i personally think you should run the sub at 3.5 cubes net volume, the sub will sounds a little deeper with more volume. and the box you had thought up didnt have nearly enough port area with the SRx having an 18mm xmax you need at least 65 square inches of port area with a slot port so you dont have all of the port noise. so if i were you and your not limited here is box specs Port Type: Slot Port Port Tuning: 33 Hz Port Dimensions: 16 x 4.125 x 38" long Port area: 66 square inches Number of Ports: 1 Net Internal Volume: 3.5 cubic feet Port Volume: 1.6419 cubic feet (includes displacement of port materials) Subwoofer Displacement: 0.1600 cubic feet per subwoofer Total Internal Volume: 5.3019 cubic feet ($40.60 extra) Box Dimensions: 30.125" (w) x 22.25" (d) x 17.5" (h) if you build your box to these specs i think you will be very pleased with the out come Quote Head Unit -- Alpine CDA-9887 Mids and highs -- 2 Crescendo PWX-8's 4 Crescendo PWX-6's 4 Crescendo FT-1 Super tweeters Mids and Highs amps -- 2 Alpine V12 MRV-F545 Subs -- TBD Sub amp -- Crescendo Bass Cleff BC2000. Cole Hedden
Also, I don't understand why the Calculator called for such a small port in the first place. Im pretty confused.

External Enclosure Parts: Front = 26 1/2 x 15 1/2 Back = 30 x 15 1/2 Left & Right Sides: Side 1 = 15 1/2 x 15 1/2 Side 2 = 16 1/4 x 15 1/2 Top & Bottom = 30 x 17 L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 12 3/4 x 15 1/2 Extension = 8 3/4 x 15 1/2 It assembles like this: The main issue with the calculations you had was the port area, and therefore the port volume.
