hiding wires

So I am installing an amp under my passenger seat in my 05 neon. I know how to install an amp and run all my wires properly. But what is the best way to hide the wire from under my seat over to the trim work on my car? Should I cut a slit in the carpet and run the wire under it to the side of the car I need and then continue to run it? I was also thinking about running the wire underneath the center console and then to the side of the car needed, but I really want to avoid running the power wires and rca's near one another. Any input is helpful, thanks.

Once you pull the seat out you will find that there's generally a few holes already in the carpet that are there to allow for things like power seats. Just run the wires under the carpet and pop it through whatever hole is the easiest for you. If there isn't a hole then just use a sharp razor and make a slit.

My only concern is that if I do have to cut a slit, I dont want it to be visually noticable at all in case i decide to sell my car eventually. I just dont want to scare future potential buyers away when they see all the holes from screws in the back of my rear seats, in the trunk, and especially in the main cabin.

As long as you make a slit a few inches long and don't actually cut any chunks of carpet out you'll be fine. If you wanna sell the car and yank your stuff out, that slit the wires are going through will be pretty forgiving and ones flattened back down will probably never be noticed again unless the seat is removed and the carpet is messed with.
