A couple of years ago I was blow torching solder on my ring terminals and Knu 1/0 Flex wires it took about 15 minutes to do each one. It's pretty much strip wire, put lug in crimper, put wire in lug, crimp and done. Only takes a couple seconds I spend more time hacking through welding cable with my set of dull 1980s wire cutters than I do on the actual crimp lol ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Rebel4055
Yep it really does take seconds to do. Since I don't have 1/0 wire strippers I think it takes longer to remove the casing than it does to crimp lol. Rest In Peace mother. fritosaregood
I found a good cheap solution. You get a 10~25 dollar pair of bolt cutters, cut a knotch in the blade end to the crimp size. the downside is you only get one size, but most ppl will just do 0 gauge anyway. I have the 16 ton hydraulic crimpers too though. seller feedback: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=61719 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=68281 build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=44800 Gf's build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/54346-kickergirls-camaro-new-box-pg-5/#entry753970
armykyle1
I honestly prefer the hammer crimper for ascetics, keeps the crimp somewhat rounded TEAM XS POWERTEAM HEAVY HERTZMy build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194454-e46-bmw-build-pos/#entry2914134youtube- http://www.youtube.com/user/armykyle1big build starting
