Decaf Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 yes its fine typically you would want to use solid lugs for under the hood in conjunction with heat shrink to minimize corrosion. if you solder over the frayed end that will "seal" it from corrosion as well

Def does not work for my zero gauge stinger ring terminals I bought from darvex. Wont fit between the dies at all lol I went and got some copper lug terminals and tested it and it worked pretty good. Im contimplating returning it though and ordering what decaf recommended if it does up to 4/0 for the same price I already paid TEAM DISTANT THUNDER

Decaf Posted February 18, 2012 Report Posted February 18, 2012 copper lugs are great terminals if not the best (UL listed/marine grade, not cheapos) they were a pain to crimp because you didn't have the right tool!
