I have 3 10s in a ported box. I was having air noise problems so I added more ports because I was told there wasnt enough port area. The box is 4.2ft^3 with 4 3inch ports tuned to 32hz. now after i added ports, on some songs im either bottoming out or clipping. my subs frequency response is 29-250hz. what do you think and how can i fix it.

Are all your gains set corretly

Also use torres box calc to make sure the ports are right

If you want a specific fix you should provide specific data, box dims port lengths, subs and amp you are using. For ex. wrong tuning can lead to that issue but also amp settings can.

thats the calc i used to do the ports. i guessed on the gain but i know im close i think i figured it out i built an amp rack at the same time the ports were added and the amp rack might b hitting the back of the box

I dont have room for any more ports on the front of the box unless i take out 2 of them and find some oval shaped ports. I wish I could get a dd-1 but i dont have the money right now

Steve, if it was playing right before despite the noise, maybe is not the amp settings, share your dims, port lengths if it is the box it can be fixed, maybe there is an issue with the data you entered, at least in one machine I know the Torres misbehaved giving ridiculous output.
