95legwagon
ok so i have a headunit and 2 amps hooked up to it. ( a 4 channel) and ( a sub amp) heres my question: can i have my door speakers ran off my 4 channel like it is currently AND run 4 different speakers off my headunits power at the same time or is this a recipe for disaster? just wondering cuz i have a shit ton of speakers and i want to add more to my setup.... mainly wanted to do this cuz i just bought 2 sets of tweeters and wondered if i could run them off headunit power while using hpf. if this shouldnt be done by any means LET ME KNOW lol i didnt think it was a good idea thats why i am asking you guys also i did a search on here and google and found nothing of any use. thanks guys! -jarrid Quote i think there real i was looking through that guys stuff he sells and it looks like he finds stuff at auctions and just sells it Yea, it looks like someone got the mids about a month ago....shit. KillaCam
Why not just run them off the 4 channel? Then when you can of if you need to upgrade your 4 channel in the future. Guest
you can run speakers off the headunit if you have separate amps driving different speakers.
KillaCam
I don't see why it couldn't be done although I don't know it would do much good. I don't expect you to see much gain in volume by adding the speakers though, especially if they're in a box in the back. 95legwagon
ok lol thats what i was thinking cuz i know you cant have an amp AND headunit powering the same set of speakers.....my head hurts just thinkn of what that would do HA! but yea i have multiple speakers that arent in use and i would like to put them to good use and get loud acoustically as well as upgrade my substage eventually (when i get the funds) so i can be louder. they will be in the back seat in a box i wouldnt put them in cargo area as that would be dumb haha...... but right in the middle of the benchseat..... all i hear is the fronts and not much of the rears so i wanted to add a couple back there.... kinda for the hell of it also lol thanks for the reply guys Quote i think there real i was looking through that guys stuff he sells and it looks like he finds stuff at auctions and just sells it Yea, it looks like someone got the mids about a month ago....shit. bumonskateboard6
Chances are you wouldn't be able to run just tweeters off your HU because the HPF/LPF settings on your HU will aslo effect the signal the 4 channel gets.
