sik99ranger
Hey guys my second arc flatline d2 finally showed up today and I was hoping for some help designing the box for the pair. I'd like to go with a slot port design poss aero port. I'm going to be running a arc kar1000bx on each one! I want this thing to be as loud and musical as poss. Right now I have 1 thrown in a prefab slot port with a 44in long port an it sound great! Any ideas?
Joe X
If it sound right don't fix it. but anyways let me know your maximum dims to fit a box and I will suggest a design, also the full dims of the box you are using would be interesting for comparison purposes. Joe X
Well Arc Audio recommends 1.8 cubic feet (per sub) tuned to 32Hz, the enclosure you are using is tuned to 40Hz and is way off spec.. but you like how it sounds.. I am guessing you don't listen to rap like kind of music.
sik99ranger
i just threw it in that box because i had it sitting there and didnt wanna build a box till i got the second one. my max width would be 30.5 wide and lookin about 15-16 tall max for going through the trunk opening. and can be 25 deep Edited February 20, 2012 by sik99ranger

Another option is taking out 6 bolts behind the back seats (takes 5mins) and then you can slide in a 38in wide box no problem. Heigh is limited at first but a little grinding makes it a nice fit. Just a suggestion, then from there you could seal off trunk easily and get about as loud as its going to. Joe X
Dual chamber because you are driving the subs with separate amps take a look: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 33.219 Hz Vb = 1.89 ft^3 (per chamber) External Height = 16 in External Width = 30.5 in External Depth = 25 in Port Width = 2 in * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. Let me know any questions. Edited February 20, 2012 by Joe X
