Joe X
I have no idea how to even build a box or anything, would'nt know where to start. Im just going to go with the Kenwood w3013ps's and I just need help with the help. I need to see what I can do with the box. For the box just post your maximum dims and I will suggest a very easy to build design, For the amp I would recommend this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23874_MB-Quart-ONX1.1000D.html Does rated and sounds clean only $30 above your budget hope not a big deal. Joe X
To choose subwoofers you start by getting the maximum dims of the box you can fit..and forget about the lanzar!

Im still not sure what subs? Tuned to 45Hz? if you are going with a prefab check that it's spec of the box is about right for the subs themselves. 412 CVX
Avoid prefab like stated before. build your own made SPECIFICALLY for your subs. there is no perfect box for every sub. that prefab won't sound near as good as if you build your own box. skittlesRgood
dont worry about feeling like a noob. we all asked the same questions at one time in our lives. ill always remember the $50 "1000w" amp i bought when i first started. i didnt know any better. Ive heard these subs are pretty good for what they are http://www.amazon.com/Scosche-P124-12-Inch-Performance-Subwoofer/dp/B001TDZ2IC now you have to look at ohm loads. two 4ohm single coil subs can be wired to 2ohm or 8ohm. so if you get an amp rated at 1ohm. you wont get that amount of power from it. you get the 2ohm rating. so you either need to find 2ohm coils (they will wire to 1ohm), dual 4ohm coils (probably wont in your budget), or find an amp rated at 2ohm instead of 1ohm. a 2 channel might be good for that. kicker is known for 2ohm stable amps. tell us your budget for subs and amp now. ill see if i can find something i think is decent if/when i have time. maybe others will do it as well. but building your own box will be the key part of your learning experience. you really should start as early as possible.
