-enmity Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 So I'm about to start my build its a 3300 watt rms system in the trunk for my 2010 camaro V6, the big problem im having is finding a high output alternator for my vehicle, ive called around looked online and have found none, only oem replacements. The stock alternator is a AC Delco P/N 13502988 150 amp and its got a weird mouting bracket. From what i know the same engine was used in a 2008 cadillac sts v6 with only a direct port injection modification AC Delco P/N : 25751146, the alternators on these models look very similar. Can anyone tell me if these are interchangeable i can get a high output alternator for the cadillac but i cant find one for the camaro.

s3th Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 I am having the same problem, I am about to wall off my camaro for 2 18's DC Audio Level 5's, and for the amps I am getting. I will need well over the stock voltage to sustain the power. So I am lost of what to do, I hear being the car is new maybe the stock alternator would do good enough. But I doubt it, I had one 12, and it caused my lights to dim with the car on. No way I would be able to power all this shit with a stock alt. Any advice would be nice!
