Help With DD1 and Audison 5.1K

Recommended Posts

The amp will go into first stage overload with any clipping at all.

Its very smart.

But thats only cutting 25%.

Honestly id try it by ear and see if its cool.

Play a heavy bass song like hypnotize with everything up, then slowly roll in the gain untill it stops getting louder then back it off just a tiny tiny bit. Just a hair down.

Then try a few songs full tilt and see if it still does it

Like i said it is a very sensitive amp to clipping.

Hell when i had 1 my 5.1 was always on 1st stage overload. Lol

Alright. I'll text or message you or James tomorrow if I mess with it. Sound like its the amp and not the dd1. Just haven't turned the gain up until I got the DD1 so it all happend at once.

So final note I guess. Is what's happening something you've seen before. Manual for the 5.1 doesn't really say much about different situations. Overload light flashes. Amps stays running fine. Isn't hot. Plus its 15 degrees here today. And then when I shut the car off the audison light goes off, overload light goes off, fuse good light stays on, fan kicks on, and I have to unhook it to reset it.
