Hi guys I'm excited and just wanted to.let y'all know that I just purchased a D3400 for my truck!!

Its replacing a stock battery and I'm curious as to what to expect from it. My current electrical is stock with only big 3 upgrade. My system is only 1200 rms at best for now. My current voltage drop is to the high 11s at full tilt. I'm hoping to also purchase an XP series battery during the SMD group buy. :)

That's a good battery to replace your stock, you'll probably only drop to mid 12s now.

That being said only adding batteries if you're dropping pretty low is just adding more for the alternator to recharge.

Still 1200 rms shouldn't be TOO hard on stock alt if you've got sufficient wires for your big 3, good luck

I've got 0 gauge wire along with what came stock. The alternator is a 105 amp and its recently been warrantied thru autozone. It should do just fine for the time being.

Then you should be fine with that battery and stock 105 alt.

Dropping to 11s seems a bit much. I'd check your wires and make sure you got some grounds to engine block or alt/bracket

I just ordeeedd my 3400 as well looking forward to it!!! Have you tried running a ground from amps in the back to up front that might help with voltage drop

I think the main culprit is my battery because it is a bit on the older side. I've noticed that starting is a little weaker. I just replaced my starter.

When I checked my voltage at the amp with the dmm, it's constant relative to checking voltage under the hood. So I think my grounds are pretty solid.
