This is my 1972 Duster,

I bought the car when I was 13, and got it running last summer. The car was essentially a rolling shell with an interior. So I started with the front end, did a disc brake swap for larger ball joints in the upper control arms, and a larger lug pattern. It's got a 360 4-bbl in front backed by a fresh 904 out of a '77 Chrysler Cordoba , 7 1/4 axle with 2.76:1 gears. Actually wish I had kept the 'doba, it was pretty nice.

This was my very first build, be it mechanically or accoustically. And it's far from over.

This is the car, near its first goal

Pulled it to fix driver's side header and replace steering box,

figured I'd paint it while it was out.

Re-installed, not pictured is my upgrade alternator. stock 60 amp wasn't cutting it anymore

Waiting for me to get out of school

This is the good side.

The audio equipment started off with a used Pioneer HU I bought from my uncle, then I got a set of 6x9s from a friend.

And then for Christmas I got an RE SRi10D2, and a Jensen power 900

And it wasn't enough.

In January I got an RE DTS 1000.1

Then I reboxed, roughly 1 Ft^3, tuned to 29 Hz

Running 800W RMS @ 1 Ohm

This is the current setup.

This is just the start, planning on upgrading soon!

Lots of projects on my plate right now, as soon as I get more time this thread will grow!

Thanks for the kind words, guys!

Like I said, I have a few projects going at the moment. And if you've taken on projects for friends you know your stuff always seems to come last!

Right now I'm doing a headgasket and timing belt on a friends' 1999 escort zx2, I'm doing a little build in a '68 bronco, small build in my moms' '92 civic, a near full build in a 2005 superduty, fiberglass door pods in my dads' 91 civic, a gauge cluster for my shop teacher...the list goes on.

Buuut, next addition for the Duster is going to either be building another set of kicks, beauty panels for my trunk, and definitely doing a set of bucket seats, new interior carpet, and an 8.75 rear axle.

Here are some pictures of the alt, rear axle housing, and my first attempt at kicks which explain why I want to re-do them!

also, don't mind the flaking paint...it had been on the shelf for around 10 years :P

I looked at your entire build last night, it's what inspired me to post mine!
