RF4LIFE Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 I have a RE Audio XXX15 15" subwoofer, the box said to use a 4ft^3 @ 33hz. I have read other posts and they are saying to use a 5.5ft^3 box. My question is that what I should use this design and if so is the sub displacement calculated into the 5.5 or do I add it to the 5.5? Also what should I use at the port area and length? I have used several websites and they each give me a different answer. Area 77in^2 82.5in^2 99in^2 185.4in^2 length 13.62in 29.1in 29.6in 51.4in
AI James Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 is it an old or new XXX series. i wouldnt do 5.5 cubes in any application with them. 4 cubes 15 per sounds pretty good though for a start.
