h23a3lude Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 I have two Rockford Fosgate T2 12's that will be getting PSI recones shortly.. i'm trying to figure out what i should tune my box too. Normally i like to tune low because i like the lows and im not sure how low i should tune it.. I cant find anything about the frequency response on these speakers anywhere. They are the older style silver metal cones, 1000 watts rms. Any input helps oh and they'll be pushed by an AQ 2200 92 Honda Prelude SI H23a3 HU: Alpine CDA-105 Front Stage: DB Drive PT6.0 6.5" Rear Stage: Junk pioneers (Not sure what im wanting to do in the trunk, waiting) Speaker Amp: DB Drive A4 4200 Sub Amp: MB Quart DSC1500.1 Subs: 2 12" MB Quart Premiums Box: Slot port tuned to ~34hz Wiring: Kicker Ultraflex 0awg and Big 3 Alt: Stock (saving for a 200amp Excessive Amperage) Batteries: Optima Yellow Top and Stinger SPV44 Extra Equipment: Two Rockford Fosgate T2 12's (Recones in future) Kicker ZX1000.1 Selling: GOLF CLUBS- http://www.stevemead...03#entry1916603
Joe X Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 It's anyone's guess the t/s parameters of a custom sub, if you are really looking for a specific sound make a box with a tuneable aero port and play with the tuning until you find what you are looking for.

I would but i don't have room for an aero port. Just tune to your preference. if you like the low lows, 32-33 should drop bottom and then some. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.
