Im new with car audio and can't figure this out???

Okay so I have recently gotten into car audio. I met a few people who are also into it and they have taught me alot but i dont wanna look like a complete idiot. My friend just bought a pioneer premier(1000w RMS) and a amp to match. We put it in the speced box and it hit pretty hard. This setup is in a house. Out of bordem we tried to invert it, and it was insane. Knocking curtains off the wall, speakers hitting the floor, cases of soda falling etc. From what i have learned subwoofers want pressure. I just dont understand whats giving an inverted sub this great low sound? any answers would be nice.

yeah it shouldn't change the sound that much. inverting the sub gives the box a tiny bit more space, thus lowering the tuning very slightly. like one hz or something, if that

Sounds like you have a poltergeist. But really like the others have said, inverting is not going to make a big difference. Just a little change in tuning.
