4 sa-8 in a cavalier

Ok right now i have a Fi BTL 18 in my cavalier and im thinking on selling it......now im wanting something that will be as loud if not louder and hits as low....also im gunna be running it off a audiopipe 3000d.....what should the specs on my box be if i do end up getting the sa-8s?

If running off the same power, given all other circumstances remain the same. you need to keep the cone area the same.

Looking at the sizes of the circles (not the actual cone area, this is just for a rough demonstration only)

18" circle = 254 square inches of circle area

4 8" circles = 250 square inches of circle area

So the cone area in your case will remain roughly the same while throwing in potential phasing issues and whatnot.

Personally, i'd jump up to 6 8's at least, if 8's is your new sub size of choice. (but why?)

so hows the single 18 sound in the cav trunk? i ask because im getting my single 18 build in a 01 cav on 1800rms and hope its loud enough

also factor in xmax. the 8"s dont have as much throw as the 18" btl. so the 8"s dont have much hope of getting as loud and really wont get any louder.

i almost did 4 8"s but i was advised by Nick and Fi that with a pair of 12"s i would have more displacement.
