lotus
im running 1500rms in my car on stock electrical. if i do the big 3 with 4awg wire will i need a 2nd batt? and will the current efficiency improve? (i was going to do the big 3 in 0awg and get a 2nd batt but i figured for 1500rms it would be a waste and not worth it) 2010 Cobalt LT Coupe Subs: 2 American bass XFL 12s Amp: Crescendo BC3500D Big 3 in 1/0awg 29hz box stinger volt meter 2nd battery Deka 9a31 pioneer DEH-9400BH
bass_stalker
just do it in the 0 so you can have it done and not have to pull it off again. personally i would add a second battery if you can just to make sure your electrical can handle it with some reserve JEEP BUILD PROJECT ANTIBLING.2000 jeep Cherokee.HEADUNITAlpine Cda-9886SUBSTAGE1 acendent 18" audio mayhem motor with a TI basket and tantric parts1 prototype DAT hellfire 1000.1HIGHSStockELECTRICALdb link 0 gaugeKnuconceptz Kolossus 4 gauge1 xs power d3400 under hoodBig 3 upgradeold fourwheeler build The only way to delete your SMD account is for you crawl to steve meades door step on your knees and pleade for his forgiveness and acceptance to be released...He will either grant your wishes.....or choke you with a large piece of 0 gauge and electrocute you by hooking up a solid gold DC 12k at 0.000001 ohm and 10000 volts to your eye sockets and blow your head apart You guys act like you have never clogged a toilet and ran around the bathroom frantically hoping it don't overflow. Omega5002
You'd be better off using 0 guage for the big 3 so the current has more area to go through, so your voltage level is more stable. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
lotus
but will 4awg without a 2nd batt be okay? if i just do the big 3 with it with nothing else added? i figured it would be better than staying stock and i don't plan on going bigger in my current car so it would be a waste of money buying 2nd batt and 0awg and doing all that 2010 Cobalt LT Coupe Subs: 2 American bass XFL 12s Amp: Crescendo BC3500D Big 3 in 1/0awg 29hz box stinger volt meter 2nd battery Deka 9a31 pioneer DEH-9400BH

Kevin M
Run 1/0 ga. I have around the same wattage and have over 50 ft in my car. As long as you do it properly the big 3 won't do any damage. All my factory grounds are intact. Its better to do it big the first time. You don't want to have to run more wire after everything is installed. Overdoing electrical is never a waste. 2005 Ford Focus zx4 AMT's and Planars 18" Infinite baffle
CanUFeelMe
I run 1500watts with one battery and stock Alt. I use 1/0 wire for power and BIG 3, and have minimal voltage drop. Not only does the Wire matter, but how efficent is your amp? Some amps are WAY more power hungry than others. 1999 Chevy S102 Sundown Zv3-10's1 Sundown saz-4500d2 sets of Sundown CS6.5 Comps. lotus
american bass 100.1 and i've been running this setup on stock for 6months and its been fine. i'd rather just add 4awg since everything works perfectly fine on stock. 2010 Cobalt LT Coupe Subs: 2 American bass XFL 12s Amp: Crescendo BC3500D Big 3 in 1/0awg 29hz box stinger volt meter 2nd battery Deka 9a31 pioneer DEH-9400BH
