Diamond500
Just got my Rockford Fosgate T1s in today and i'm a complete noob since this is my first time installing mids and crossovers and what not. I took out my old stocks speakers and just have this wiring left in the door. What do i do cut it off and connect it to the crossover. I'm lost on this. Any help would be great. Thanks Edited March 13, 2012 by Diamond500

Freshman6969
find which wire is pos. and neg, hook that to the cross over, then from the cross over to the tweet, and crossover to the mid, and yes you cut the connecter off Quote Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k! SnowDrifter
No amp straight to the headunit. Do i have to solider the wire to the speakers then? Either that, or go down to radioshack and get spade connectors the crimp those onto the speaker wire Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

No you need to do wire connectors, i mean you can solder them but i would just use connectors EDIT: ninjad Edited March 13, 2012 by h23a3lude Quote 92 Honda Prelude SI H23a3 HU: Alpine CDA-105 Front Stage: DB Drive PT6.0 6.5" Rear Stage: Junk pioneers (Not sure what im wanting to do in the trunk, waiting) Speaker Amp: DB Drive A4 4200 Sub Amp: MB Quart DSC1500.1 Subs: 2 12" MB Quart Premiums Box: Slot port tuned to ~34hz Wiring: Kicker Ultraflex 0awg and Big 3 Alt: Stock (saving for a 200amp Excessive Amperage) Batteries: Optima Yellow Top and Stinger SPV44 Extra Equipment: Two Rockford Fosgate T2 12's (Recones in future) Kicker ZX1000.1 Selling: GOLF CLUBS- http://www.stevemead...03#entry1916603
Diamond500
I have spade connectors put won't fit i might have to open them a bit more. Wouldn't that mean i have to put 2 wires in the connector the one coming out of the door then 1 from the crossover to the speaker.
LoudBimmer
Do not cut the connector off. Use wire splice
SnowDrifter
Wires from the door going into the crossover Wires coming out of the crossover with spade terminals on one end going to the tweeter Wires coming out of the crossover with spade terminals on one end going to the midrange You shouldn't have to be jamming multiple wires into 1 connector for this Unless I am misunderstanding you lol Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
