good question. but i think they just screw the rear mdf part into the door piece??

Ya thats what i was thinkin, before i mount the speaker i would reach in there a put some nuts and bolts through it.

Thats how i did mine. Just make sure that what ever the door pannel is made of it will hold the wait and that the screw wont strip out

Thats how i did it. And I just made sure my mid bass speaker didnt touch the door.
