LoudBimmer
you need to charge it. I don't have a charger at this time. I'll have to dig into that one thread regarding how people should charge batteries overnight. I was hoping that if I get a good alternator I wouldn't have to worry about charging the batteries Alternator only puts out when demanded. When your car is running it puts out ~50amp, that are consumed by your car. I would buy charger before installing them.

KHRISS
After having my car idle for 15 minutes, the voltage went from 14.3V to 13.8V with the engine on. Should I drive around town first for the battery to charge up? how about park your car, hook it up to a CHARGER like he is suggesting? you are SUPPOSED TO charge your batts from xs power before you run them. charging does not mean turn your car and and let your alt charge it.. it means hook it up to a slow trickle charger. please listen to what these guys are telling you to do! any charger and for how long Quote CURRENT SYSTEM (VEHICLE) 2005 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE (HEAD UNIT) KENWOOD KDC BT848U (DASHBOARD) INFINITY KAPPA 32.9CF (FRONT DOOR) JBL P693 (REAR DOOR) KENWOOD EXCELON KFC-X1730 (TWEETER) KICKER KS25 X 2 (SUB WOOFER) COMING SOON (4 CHANNEL AMP) ROCKFORD FOSGATE T1000-4ADCP (1 CHANNEL AMP) ROCKFORD FOSGATE T2500BDCP X 2 (PROCESSORS) AUDIOCONTROL DQXS & EPICENTER & MATRIX PLUS & DDC (BATTERY) 1 OPTIMA YELLOW TOP (SIGNAL WIRES) KICKER XI (POWER CABLES) KICKER PKD1 (SPEAKER WIRE) KICKER 12 GAUGE (INTERIOR) DYNAMAT COMING SOON 2 FI SP4 18 COMING SOON 2 XS POWER XP3000 COMING SOON DC POWER 270XP ALT COMING SOON

moh.vze.com
I found my old battery charger in the garage but I can't find the manual for it to make sure it's capable of charging AGM bettiers. I have two of them in my garage also. I tried to google the model no. and only found this: http://www.propertyr...com/l/l/7094600 I also found a google page for exide battery chargers in general and it told me to disconnect the battery from my car before charging... wtf? http://www.ehow.com/how_8423211_exide-battery-charger-instructions.html Edited March 16, 2012 by moh.vze.com Quote DC Audio - Singer Alternators - Knukonceptz - XS Power - Hybrid Audio - Rockford Fosgate - Second Skin Audio - SMD - Sundown Audio - Elemental Designs
