Kdub26
i noticed the power wire on my coworker's amp coming a bit loose, and i want to fix it. ive heard of people not having their inline fuse in, so power doesnt go thru the wire. my question is that can i just pull the fuse out of the wire so i can fix his amp. or should i just unhook the negative off of his battery just like ive always done? im just trying to be mindful of his presets on his radio and all that. i know how much of a pain it it to set everything back on the radio after the radio has been unhooked. 1992 Camry "Stormtrooper"Quantum Audio DVD/USB/AUX 3.5" single din H/UXS D690Cadence 0g wiring and Kicker 4g wiring(2) Selenium 6w4p's(2) Selenium ST200'sKicker 200.4 (mids & highs)(1)Kicker and (2)Stinger RCA'sSecondSkin in trunk and doors12K HIDsMulitcolor Angel EyesSoon to be done:Big 3Mechman H/O Altsubs?amp? crunkjuice1
pull fuse. I think if you leave fuse in and diconnect the ground at battery there is still current flowing to amp.
Freshman6969
pull fuse. I think if you leave fuse in and diconnect the ground at battery there is still current flowing to amp. the ground at the battery is what makes it a complete circut, aside from the fuse, if you take the fuse out, you open the circut, if you take the ground off your breaking the circut, think about it this way....you ground your amp where? to the chassis, the battery is grounded where? to the chassis Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k!
