KyleRhone Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 I have a super off brand of subwoofer that i got for free. it's an AudioTech. it's a 10" subwoofer with dual 4ohm voice coils. it sounds absolutely terrible though. right now it's not in a good box but when i play it it just sounds grose. i'm pretty sure the voice coil is damaged but i really have no clue. when i push on the cone i can hear and feel a little bit of grinding and i noticed when i pulled it out of the box that the spider isn't attached to the cone. any ideas on what's wrong with it and what i can do to go about fixing it.. BUYING A NEW SUB IS NOT AN OPTION! As I lay rubber down the street, I pray for traction I can keep, but if I spin and begin to slide, please dear God protect my ride.
Bump4life Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 save your pennies for a new sub. if it really is as shitty as you say it is then even a 20$ sub or 40$ pyle will sound better off of amazon. ahha. you can try to glue spider down and such but make sure its centered. but if its really shitty dont waste time and money on it.
