Cheap Mid/High build ideas

Was thinking about something nice to do with my truck as far as mids/highs, and was thinking about giving the T3 factory buyouts from PE a try...one pair per door, possibly a set in the pillars (A & maybe B, as the B-pillar is in the rear door)...just something to make the truck sound nice for cheap. (And at >$35/pair, not a bad deal anyways). We all know the T3 story, but anyone had some experience with the coax's? Would it be worth buying a bulk set to put in my truck? Thoughts & suggestions appreciated...

Friendly bump. I think I may stick with giving the T3's a try. Cheap but they shouldn't sound too bad..

Current plans:

T6C 6.5" in doors. 1 set per door fiberglassed with a small sealed enclosure (would it help?)

T5C 5.25" in B pillar, 1 set each side, mounted in

T4C 4" in A pillar, 1 set each side, mounted (if room applicable, if not then small glass panels

I'll probably find an old set of panels for the rear doors to work with, & probably just do some fit-in panels for the front where the stock drivers go...Haven't found any other coax's or components for cheap that would work well. Probably will use my current ZRs C9 with a second one 'till I can save up some $$ for the SD250.2D's...a whole build of those would be interesting...lol

http://www.parts-exp...tnumber=299-155 vew members bought these mids, search or ask,

but pretty damn cool 9 $ for a Focal.

He wants coax, not a single midbass. :)

Try them first without a enclosure, and with a enclosure to hear the difference.

Not always will the enclosure make it sound better.

Thinking is the root of all problems...

You ALWAYS get what you pay for.

I think even without being enclosed they will suffice. I just want to do a nice build with some cheap but decent speakers. Like the T3's or maybe the Lanzar's, with room to swap out & upgrade when more money is available...

With that said, anyone heard the Lanzar MX's? Cheaper, similar specs, so I have no idea...

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Anything under $40/pair would work. I want something cheap but nice sounding...Been looking around, the T3 buyouts, Lanzar MX's, & possibly the Cadence CS3 series look good. $62 for 2 pairs of 6.5's, either that or the ZRS series speakers on AudioSavings would work (since they'll match my amp, lol). Any other suggestions to think about?
