moh.vze.com
I've just took out the subs to check the voice coils and readings Result: They are not burned and the ohm readings per coil were 3.6 ohms (kinda weird cause they should be 4 ohms) I think the speaker box terminal is loose and have a bad connection so I'm just going to run a 20ft 12gauge speaker wire from the sub into the vent hole into the amp. Is it bad to run a speaker wire that long? FunkMcOwnage
as a general rule if the run is 20 ft or longer you should use one size larger Quote 1995 Nissan Maxima GLE JVC KD-APD49 Headunit (4) Infinity Kappa 652.9i components @ 2 ohm (1) Infinity Reference 475a amplifier (2) Skar Audio V-VXV1 12D4's Hifonics Brutus 2100.1 @ 1 Ohm ----------------------------------------------

Bump4life
it doesn't really matter the length of speaker wire unless it is too small of gauge. are you sure you need 20ft to get form amp to sub? mine runs throuhg the vent to sub from amp and i only needed 6. but if your running that long of a run bigger wont hurt you. id try 10 gauge just to be safe. moh.vze.com
My subs are working now. My speaker box terminals were bad. Until I replace it with a new one, I'm just going to run the wire through the vent. I guess I'll cut my wire down to 10 feet or so. I didn't want to cut my last part of the spool so I left it 20 ft. moh.vze.com
Hmm. It snowed today and I noticed the voltage on my car being kinda low. Does cold weather dramatically affect the charged on xs d2400 or something? I only bumped it for 15 minutes during break with the car on and how can it be drained down to 12.3V with the car off so easily?
