mr sideways Posted March 23, 2012 Report Share Posted March 23, 2012 Hi i am Brendon from london and have an on going 1999 BMW 328i individual cabrio project, i have been through loads of different audio to try and find the right sound but will get to that in a minute, first the car. i will let the pics do the talking. when i bought it- then came the mods- the wheels- and the result- the ICE- i started with a JL 10W3 and some focal 165V30 running off a genesis profile 4 then i replaced the 10W3 for a focal utopia 21WX and got a profile sub to run it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mr sideways Posted March 23, 2012 Author Report Share Posted March 23, 2012 speaker pods then started to get serious and started buying various genesis series 3 and DLS amps, a alpine 117ri, aH701, and some Seas lotus reference mids and tweeters. and replaced the focal sub for a CDT QES-820 and made my own pure silver litz RCA leads I did have a full genesis S3 set up but i am currently using DLS ultimate amps, so the current system is as follows- alpine 117ri head unit alpine H701 processor alpine cha-s624 optical disc changer seas lotus RW165 mids seas lotus RT27F tweeters DLS A2 (tweeters) DLS A3 (mids) DLS A6 (sub) after alot of playing about and a RTA session it sounds pretty damn good, but will post more pics soon when i have completed the boot build. and there will be more mods to the car for this summer. hope you like!
