Kidd_Bass Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 My friend finally saved up enough money to buy his 2 Fi BL's and now that He finally have them in a box and he was wondering if he can power both of them with his amp its a soundstream rubicon that has 1000 watts rms he is just wondering if he can get some good low bass off of this amp or should he just save for a 2000 watt amp
sprkn_ranger Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 He won't hurt them if he hooks them up to that amp as long as he sets the gains properly so the amp isn't clipping. sprkn_ranger Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Yea he won't hurt anything by under powering them. But he won't get the full potential out of the subs until he does get a larger amp. Just make sure he sets the gains with a DD-1 so he isn't clipping them. A dirty, clipped signal will blow a sub even if its underpowered.
