MrFree Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Last week I ordered a battery, I hooked it up and I cant tell a difference. Why am I still dipping down to the high 12's? I sure I needed a new alt that is why I posted this question here. But what is the point in battery's if you have a alt thats keeps you charging at 14.4? I ask this because I have 3 battery's 2 stock and 1 shuriken, and I'm still dipping to low 12's when I'm hitting harder tones....Thanks, as always I wish you all a satisfying build and a good day.. TheNewbie Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 You can be thumping longer.. if your running off one battery it gets drained quickly rather than pulling from all three. YOur alternator will get pretty stressed having to charge up all those batteries if it's stock though, might wanna upgrade. Could possibly be another reason though. Charge your batteries overnight to get the best performance and longevity out of them each day. Guest Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 because your alt isnt big enough. it simple. plus adding more batteries just gives less free power to the amp because the alt has to give 30 amps worth of its power just to charge the batteries you have.
