Battery questions

I'm thinking about adding a second battery to my truck. If I can get a single battery that can handle starting/2000 watts of stereo, then that would work better. But if not, what's the easiest way to mount a second battery in the front of my bed & run it into the cabin? I'll probably run either 1/0 or 2/0 from front to rear, and 1/0 into the cabin...Any tips & tricks would be greatly appreciated!

Basically you'll just put a battery in line of your power wire from your first battery but also have another fuse there just in case it will be grounded to your frame and then from that battery you'll run the power to the amp That's short and sweet version.

you can find plenty tutorials here on exactly how to do it . just make sure you have a seal battery like kinetic or even a Yellowtop Optima

You can get a battery box from your local hardware store or auto parts store the kind that holds a battery for a boat I will keep it nice and tight then you can just mount it in the corner of your bed of the truck

Get an isolator...always have ur starting battery charged;)

I've always thought of isolators as kind of a waste, just don't bump for 5 hours with your car off and you'd be fine

You don't need isolators

If anything, it makes it more of a PITA because you have to hook up your charger 2 different times

And it's another expense

And it's just something else to worry about
