I am buy know means a good box calculator but i can read measure and cut.

I want to build a box for my self. i have heard a Designs by Ryan for a while.

Dave the box guy has built me a few boxes.

i have used http://dbdynamixaudio.com once but i do not know how to calculate port( size/area )

i just wish there there was a program that lets you put in the speaker specs and the box size you want and it tells you everything else.

Are Ryan's designs accurate.

If you are looking to biuld a simple ported box download the Torres calculator an myself and other members will help you to get a good spec to build. It's being done all the time in this forum just post your max dims, amp and vehicle models and type of music you listen to.

For a slot port, take out the number of ports and leave it blank. Also leave the port diameter blank. Those two fields are for round aero ports.

What sub or subs are in question, and what vehicle are you looking to put this box into?

Also 3 common port walls and subtract 1.5" from port for thickness of the wood, so 12.5".

1 sundown sa-10"going in a 2006 cadillac cts. Man i am a noob please help. I want tuning to be between 30hz and 32hz and on the cut list it doesn't list the cuts for the L port,.

Can some one do a calculation for me.

Ok here is a suggestion enter it in Torres to see what you get the port length is 27.75":

Enclosure Specifications:

External Height = 12 in

External Width = 24.5 in

External Depth = 14 in

Port Width = 1 3/4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

Front & Back = 24 1/2 x 12

Left & Right Sides = 12 1/2 x 10 1/2

Top & Bottom = 24 1/2 x 12 1/2

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 10 3/4 x 10 1/2

Extension = 13 3/4 x 10 1/2
