got my box in !!!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I finally have everything installed, I shot the screws in at a angle and it worked.

My trunk is fully sealed and I have them driving towards the lid ( Legacy GT Limited Edition ) - I dont know if down the road it will cause an issue from "coming loose" after some use or not because the board it self is thick on the front panel, however since there was "little" edge to screw into Im sure it did not grip alot. I did pull on the lids to see if they would come loose and they did not.

As for the port, nothing is rounded its a perfect L shape. It seemed to do the job. I drove around the block with my deck @ low volume , Ive yet to tune anything, just to verify my connections. I had the amp gain barely up and everything else @ 0, nothing to cause damage just to make sure all my connections etc etc were solid and it worked, but called it a night because it was 1am.

Since I work from 11 - 8 and then train @ a gym from 9 - 11, plus eat like a tank. I have hardly no spare time during the week... I will mess with it more tonight and I brought my DMM to work, so going to play with the actual gains. I had it turned off on the ride this morning, so if anything happens Im 100% sure its not on my end and its on theirs.

If anything happens? Theirs?

I lost

Me 2, I would of understood if he meant he had it set with a dd-1 and if the speakers were damaged it would be their fault...but...yeah.. lost too.

New build coming soon.

I meant if the subs dont fit, sorry. lol

Anyways. I tuned the subs fine, had them in the box. Listened to 3 tracks and on the 3rd a sub fell out of the box. Luckily I was @ the gym when this happened. I came home and pulled the box. The screws BARELY had any wood to snag on to. There was less then a "credit card" width of wood between every screw and the edge. I knew it would not work. The left side is fine, however the right side ripped out. nice box.

as you can see its almost like a "slice" of paper worth of grip of wood. You cant tell, but I can get better pictures and use a camera this time.... that when they cut that side, they must of used something to "shave" of extra because the whole is "warped"... and that little "shave" they did ruined that whole.

I could care less about the seal, the cheap carpet glue or the smeared black paint running down the slot. I have zero care in the world for looks, its in my trunk, just a daily driver I zoom in. However, I do care when I cant even use it. This will be another what? 2, 3 4 weeks of waiting for something to happened and Ive already waited over 2 months.

Kevin seems like a stand up guy, I even brought him a few customers, also I know you get what you pay for and its a hell of a deal. I even bought a skar 1500.1 from him, but business and business and I have no useable box at the moment which is not good.

Not to mention when you put the sub in the hole, there is way to much "sway" you can move it all around, way more then the norm.

Casey,

I am sorry about this - not exactly sure what happened but we will rebuild you a new box that meets our standards and ship it asap at our cost.

I dont know either, I tried to make it work by shooting them at an angle, but still didnt. I even used "white out" to mark it just to make sure I wasnt crazy, but when I realized there was so much "toggle" room with the sub being able to move around ( up, down / left, right . etc ) I knew there was going to be a problem.

On a side note:: Amp and Subs work great other then that. I was impressed how hard it slams for the 3 tracks I had it running. Definitely worth the money if the box didnt flake out.
