I did notice the difference when I had it firing to the back, but I'll wait to seal it off to see if I like it. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/77708-2002-millenia-system-re-build/page__view__findpost__p__1070977__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110130-2000-acura-integra-gs-4-door/page__view__findpost__p__1536749__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1
kingleo Posted July 31, 2012 Author Report Posted July 31, 2012 Pulled the box out to start the paint process. It's a stone textured finish. I need to get more. And started the next phase a little early. Flush http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/77708-2002-millenia-system-re-build/page__view__findpost__p__1070977__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110130-2000-acura-integra-gs-4-door/page__view__findpost__p__1536749__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1
AI James Posted July 31, 2012 Report Posted July 31, 2012 its just about efficiency making sound wave fight each other in the middle of the box in order to get out just isnt the best way to do things. the first stage of your painting process looks nice imo.

Wouldn't there be unloading issues in a box with the port on one side with the port wall behind one sub and not the other. I admit I'm not a box building guru. But there has to be a small difference in output or else no one would build this style of box. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/77708-2002-millenia-system-re-build/page__view__findpost__p__1070977__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110130-2000-acura-integra-gs-4-door/page__view__findpost__p__1536749__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1
AI James Posted July 31, 2012 Report Posted July 31, 2012 nope no unloading issues whatsoever. people build those boxes for symetry more then anything, other then that theres a myth that having subs in the same shared chamber can blow them.

I'll keep that in mind for the next box. My last one was made that way. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/77708-2002-millenia-system-re-build/page__view__findpost__p__1070977__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110130-2000-acura-integra-gs-4-door/page__view__findpost__p__1536749__hl__%2Bmazda+%2Bmillenia__fromsearch__1

ch0sen Posted August 2, 2012 Report Posted August 2, 2012 looking good man, your front soundstage is gonna get loud. and i know what you mean about wasting paint, no need to paint what isn't going to be seen unless your going to a show or something. Some ppl may argue with that but thats just my opinion. Are you going to wrap the doors or paint them?
