R.j. Stanford
I was wondering if I took a piece of plexiglass and traced the top plate of my amp on it and put a fan in the middle, should the fan blow cool air in or hot air out? Thankss
michigancapri92
if you only have one fan you want to exhaust !! if you have one fan blowing cool air in you cant get the hot air out to replace the cold air with Teamcapri.comThe TeamCapri 1992 Mercury Capri XR22012 FORD EDGE SQ BUILDOld build logMy FeedBack1992 Mercury capri XR2 Hyper LED
Quiet
Blowing in would make the fans last longer... but you need to be more strategic of your placement. If his heatsink has fins then it might be more efficient to mount them blowing over the heatsink. If you aren't having heat issues I wouldn't mod the amp, though. EDIT: can't brain today. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
Maxim
Depends on how the amp is set up and where. If there are vent holes already on the amp and you're just adding a fan, I'd make it exhaust to push out the warm air that's just sitting inside. From the pics I'm seeing there are little grooves on the sides but I can't tell if they are open or not. If they aren't open, I'd consider carefully drilling holes in the sides to let some air into the case and help it cool down. wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt
