You know the inly way to shut up nutridders is to burp from 30-50 in 5hz incraments. All you guys act like a dd subs is magical and flat everywhere. Ric Thornton Posted April 11, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 11, 2012 i don't ride on any wagon. lol... if i test it and it's louder. great. if not. oh well... middle of last year or so I tested the DD, Sundown and DC Audio 8" woofers... the DD had the highest score with Sundown second and DC Audio 3rd in the testing results for max spl. there was all this "box is not meant for DC or Sundown" whatever. I built "SPEC" boxes for each and neither sub did over a 140.0dB hahahaha and in those tests... the Sundown was first, DC second and DD last. hahaha I like all three brands. they all have strong points and they all have weaknesses. but honestly you can't go wrong with either. it all comes down to an opnion. Ric Thornton Posted April 11, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 11, 2012 oh and for the record... we used DD in my wife's truck for finals last year b/c it was .2dB higher than the Sundown. but for every day.. .she wants the Sundown subs b/c in her words "they sound better" that's her opinion. doesn't mean its the same as others. but at the moment she has two sa8" clamping 1100 watts doing a 146.5dB at 35-40hz... i know some people on here have heard it...
