Can I get some feedback on this please?

OK so I have two 10 inch Infinity Kappa Perfect subs in a bandpass box. Ive had them for about 8 years and just never hooked them up. I just ordered a soundstream rubicom 1 channel 1000d mono block amp. Will this amp be enough/to much power? What do you think about the amp and the speakers? What do you think about the bandpass box? Looking for feedback thanks. Good or Bad its all good, just give me your honest opinions. This is all going into a 2008 Denali.

dou you have specs on the box? pix? specs on sub? if i remember the old kappa p's were 600 or 800 rms I THINK

you need to use a hosting site such as photobucket and copy the "img" tag

and I had a pair of Kappa Perfect 12s in a 1.75cuft ported box and ran them on about 1200w and ended up blowing the triple joint. My opinion is that the amp you have will work but you probably don't want to set it up full tilt. Set a very conservative gain and pay close attention to how much the speaker moves. Infinity listed a BP as a possible enclosure and listed specs as to how it should be built, I'd say figure out how close your box is to the one infinity suggests and go from there. Worst case, put them in a ported box.

Ok I will do that. By the way, how did you like your Kappas? Ive heard they have really good sound quality. When you blew your Kappas were they turned up loud or just relatively regular, if that makes any sense?

I beat the living piss out of those woofers. They were in 1.75cuft with one 4" round port per woofer on a bxi1606 @2ohm and I would play below tuning into clipping all day long without remorse. The SQ on them was great while the triple joint was together, still OK after it popped. I played them for a good four or five months with the voice coil literally sliding in and out of the spiders. They were an SQ driver that I tried to make and SPL driver but it didn't work lol
