Chaosgrunt
Hey fellas got another question for ya. Well im gonna start building the wall soon and im thinking about tuning it to 25hz or so. Im not really looking for a SPL setup, just a ground pounder. I like songs like stickem and rack city. You know, those really low notes that bring a smile to your face. So at 25hz tuning on a wall, that should be good for lows correct? I was thinking 30hz but i saw a wall tuned to mid 20's and the lows were just insane! Heres subs and amps. 3 AQ3500's 3 AQ HDC4 18's Box should be around 17 cubic feet or so before bracing and subwoofer displacement. Does this sound good or should i tune it higher? Remember, i want a ground pounder, not a SPL setup.
bkolfo4
If you have 17 cuft before sub and bracing displacement, I assume that is around 16 cuft net volume? I hope that 17 cuft already has the port displacement accounted for. A port big enough for 4 18's tuned to 25 Hz will have a big displacement from your box volume. Quote Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.
