Ok so I have now got a design for 2 DD 9518's. I have people telling me the woofers will have a hard time being that they will kind of choked would you say? Well anyway the design is for daily and SPL. It is tuned to 37hz, has 12.5 cubes and 205 square inches of port area. This will go in a 1998 corolla. How do you think this design would be for them? ***Below is the design.

Hey fellas got another question for ya. Well im gonna start building the wall soon and im thinking about tuning it to 25hz or so. Im not really looking for a SPL setup, just a ground pounder. I like songs like stickem and rack city. You know, those really low notes that bring a smile to your face. So at 25hz tuning on a wall, that should be good for lows correct? I was thinking 30hz but i saw a wall tuned to mid 20's and the lows were just insane! Heres subs and amps. 3 AQ3500's 3 AQ HDC4 18's Box should be around 17 cubic feet or so before bracing and subwoofer displacement. Does this sound good or should i tune it higher? Remember, i want a ground pounder, not a SPL setup.

trying to tune a wall with 2 18's messed with torres (cant import screen) so 36" tall 43" wide 20" deep..trying to tune between 30-33hz...i get the cut out of the box, i cant figure out the dimensions of the port...slot port 34.5 x 4.75. 30" length but the calc shows physical length of 23.75" i dont get it....re calc shows it completley diff....and i know you guys swear by torres so i just want to only have to do this once...sub displacement =.50 and im using 1 extra baffle... thanks in advance....woofers are pap wmd2k's 18" x2 dual 2's

Allright i have been on here a long time. just browsing. i usually have nothing to add. im here to learn. i love cars and car audio. on my days off i go to my friends shop(who is doing the wall and the doors on my car) just to watch and be around cars. anyways im from eustis florida, and i will be at SBN 2012, so come check it out! heres the equipment that is/and will be going into it. subs stage.. 6 skar VVX 12s in a ported wall tuned to 36hz. Crescendo BC5500. knukonceptz OFC speaker wire, 8 gauge leads to 12 guage into the subs front stage.. 4 O2 audio component sets fiberglassed doors crescendo 1600.2 Misc. all knukoncepz wiring pioneer AVH-4300 DC power 270XP alternator. 3 G31 batteries in the back for now. second skin damp pro.. i feel like there is alot more to it but i cant think of it right now..i have everything except for the BC5500 which i am ordering next week. the wall and the doors will also be done next week and will of course post picture when that is done. heres a few pictures i have of my car and its current state. I merged 2 threads and things got a little screwed up lol So I added Johns first post to his right here : This is the official thread for the Tahoe build off we hope you enjoy these builds as much as we do! So we are doing a little friendly competition between Sky High and DC Audio. A few things fell into place and we ended up having GM SUVS dropped off at the same time so we decided to make some fun out of it. Rusty, his team, and DC Audios build will consist of the DC Audio Yukon 4 M1 LVL 6 18s with the aluminum baskets. 4 DC Audio 5Ks and a B pillar wall; just to name a few things. The Sky High's Tahoe will have 6 Lvl 6 m2 18s with aluminum cone and 4 DC 10ks in a B pillar wall. Rusty and I (Jon) will be both posting pics along the road to crushing every other Tahoe on the west coast. DC Audio and Sky High have a pretty good and close knit relationship if you guys did not know. This is a friendly build and we are only out to have fun and get some recognition out there for the amazing products going into the builds. So please enjoy the builds and your input is greatly appreciated. See you at Lake County Car Audio with both these builds for the finale!! And Mine starts here - So Alot of you might remember the DC Yukon, Well its at the shop and were going to wall it. Not 100% sure what the plan is but for right now I just removed everything so i can start to measure out the shell. its got for gear (well before I took it all out) (2) 175.4 (4) 5.0 (4) M1 Lv6's (2) Alts (2) Strong Stinger 2150's, The rest of the 2150s are dead and will need to be replaced. The Yukon sat for a while and the battery's are now toast So Im not sure if it will go flat wall, clam shell, 4th order, 6th order. Part of it will depend on the square footage we end up with. i have a 92 full size blazer. 4 pa mofo 15's on a hifonic bre2500d. i want something that can pull great numbers and if possible do hair tricks. the dimensions i have to work with is 48wX27hX32front to back. not sure what box design would be best for a suv like this? new in the spl game and looking for someone to help out.
