Cox
Well here are my questions 1. Is there a way to tell what size box you can slide into a trunk (specifically an 09 camry se) because the inside of the trunk is plenty big for a box but the problem is just getting it in 2.I want to build a ported box for my two kicker cvr 12s. I built my first box and it was to big, and the second box i built for them works but......I'm sure they could sound much better So if anyone will help with a box design and help me figure out if it would fit, that would be great. Joe X
Some poeple have attempted to make dummy cardboard boxes to see if it can go inside, once you get your dims rigth I could tell you if it's ok to build and eventually design it for you or help you to do it yourself. KOZ89
some people actually build boxes inside the trunk of the car as they go, basically meaning it's a one shot kind of thing, once build you can't take out, make any change of wiring unless you have the necessary space provided, in other words it's a caveman job build it, and when you done with it and time for a new build, you need to take it apart. Could also do some measurements see what you can work with, seen a decent size box inside a camry Quote build coming late April, early May build log for 1 LVL 5 18" 87%ish done : http://www.stevemead...ab-dc-lvl-5-18/ 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Slt Laramie Amplifier - AQ3500d.1 Sub - DC LVL 5 18" Highs - (2x) Selenium ST-350 Super Tweeters 8ohm Mids - Selenium 6" 200w midrange 6W4P (pair) Mids/Highs Amp - MB Quart ONX4.125 1000watt 4 ch Wiring - XP Flex 25' Red, 25' Black Alternator - Mechman 270amp Battery - XS power D3100, 1- Yellow top front more to come... Joe X
that is what i want to build I did that one a while back but if I remember right the OP was going to build inside the trunk, be aware that this will likely be the case for you. Cox
well now that i think about it, do you think it would maybe just be a better idea to do a sealed box since they take less space, or do you think you can come up with a small enough ported design?
