Sub and port orientation in a trunk.

Recommended Posts

I got a 2010 Lancer DE, right now its subs back, port into drivers side wheel well, thinking of building a new box, subs and port back. What have you guys found works best in trunk cars? Its very similar to a Mazda 3 in design. My rear seat doesn't fold, so I'm not planning on sealing it off from the trunk. But currently I'm running 2 12s, forgot the box specs, lost the design (it was on one of my old computers) so i don't know exact volume and tuning, but i know its tuned between 32-34Hz, and i wanna say roughly 4 cubes. Current setup does decent, but was wondering if switching it so that subs and port were firing the same direction would make much of a difference. Also, contemplating upping to a 15" BL, so id like to figure it out before i do that. Subs back port into drivers wheel well is working well, has been for years now, but i feel like trying something different, or at least building a prettier box.

woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked

You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port...
