TigerTony
Well, I'm gonna be starting to build my First box and I did the torres calculation and then i checked to see what each piece would actually be. I think i got it all right for my cutsheet. Had to redo the Sketchup. i forgot to save it the first time i did it. TigerTony
Alright. I did a sketchup to find the cut sheet dim's. But if the calculations look Good I should be placing my order for the E-15 tomorrow and heading to get the MDF on Wednesday
Joe X
Ok so I checked your cutlist and I see at least something not ok, and that is the height of th port parts (need to be 15.5") since I won't go into drawing your parts I generated a cutlist based on the Torres screenshot, here's the result: PORT LENGTH = 32" Enclosure Specifications: External Height = 17 in External Width = 24 in External Depth = 23 in Port Width = 3 in Cut Sheet List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: Front = 20 1/4 x 15 1/2 Back = 24 x 15 1/2 Left & Right Sides: Side 1 = 21 1/2 x 15 1/2 Side 2 = 22 1/4 x 15 1/2 Top & Bottom = 24 x 23 L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 18 1/2 x 15 1/2 Extension = 9 x 15 1/2 Assembly guide. (the dimensions are GENERIC please):
TigerTony
^^ I Caught the mistakes right when i saw your post. But i Started the Box today! I have most of it done except for adding a little bit more of glue tomorrow. I didn't have 90 Degree Clamps So I used what i had. But it looks like its coming out nice! What should I use to Cover the Seams to make sure its sealed. Just more glue?
Guest
is the bottom of the 2nd bend of the port not flush with the first bend? i would hope you put some screws in to hold the glue instead of using clamps at the top of the edge. i used silicon caulk for sealing edges. TigerTony
I used a Nail gun for that. its just that my air compressor didn't have enough pressure at the first nail and I'm just using the clamp there to close it a little more. And i'll go pick some caulk up after school tomorrow. How long should the caulk sit to dry for?
TigerTony
Made my cut out trace! And my E-15 came in today! Question: Since I have to wait till later in the week for the shop i go to get 8ga wire. Would it be okay If i just ran my 12 Ga Through the port since I haven't drilled holes yet for Bolt Terminals i intend to use with the 8ga. TigerTony
When I carpet the Box, My dad has some Fabric Adhesive that I can use. Is that okay to use? or should i just use some wood glue and spread it around?
