jarrius
I've looked into a couple subs and have it narrowed down to a couple of options. Sundown E10: http://www.soundsolu...W-E-SERIES.html SKAR IVX-10: http://www.soundsolu...-SUBWOOFER.html DCON-10: http://www.soundsolu...-Subwoofer.html At the moment I am leaning towards the DCON because although it has a lower RMS it will be easier to find an amp that fits my budget and I am planning to put a thick piece of glass or plexi on the back of the trunk and I think the magnet on it looks the best. As for an amp for running the components or sub I am completely undecided. Im still a little new to but here is what i know. it depends on what sub you want by how you want your music. me for example i have 2 JL audio 10w1v2's at 8ohm. Im going to make my system for great SQ hence why i chose JL. you need to make sure the subs your looking at are ment for SPL or SQ be for you buy them (depending on what you want man and i power my subs with a 600watt kenwood not alot of power but it does the job for me Edited April 22, 2012 by bloodrises Quote 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole

You shouldn't be using sq and spl because you have no clue what they are.

From what people said on this forum the subs i have are for Sound quality(SQ). so that is what my build is. all i was saying to him is pick what you want your system to be but need to find info on your gear and how you want it. and who is the bot so i can report to lol Quote 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
mttornquist
Ok right now I'm planning the DCON ins a ported box running off of a Rockford 5 channel to power the components and sub. Anyhow, would there be interference if I mounted the crossovers for the t1652-Ss in the trunk then ran the wires up to the front doors (not next to power wires)? I want to distplay them but without drilling holes in the factory interior. Quote My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...lmost-complete/
amgilliam22
You can mount your crossovers in the trunk it will be fine, but you may be able to run your front speakers from the crossovers built in on the amplifier. Some 5 channels have switches on them so you can run the amp like are crossover. My soundstream TRA-880 is like that. You can run tweets from one channel and mids from second channel and adjust each channel.
mttornquist
Yes it does have a built it crossover but I need 2 channels for the rear as well so I don't have any extra channels that I could run the tweeters off.
