Mikey Bates Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 lets say you have a 4 channel amp that puts out 50rms x 4 @ 4 ohms... 75 rms x 4 @ 2 ohms.....and bridged 150rms x 2 @ 4 ohms. Can i take one bridged lead and run it to voice coil A on my sub (which is 4 ohms) and run the other to voice coil B on my sub (also 4 ohms) That way each voice coil is getting 150rms from the amp, and the amp is getting a 4 ohm load from each voice coil. yes, or no? does this work, is it a do, or don't?

Guest Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 it CAN work, but you need to dial in the gains so that they match absolutely perfectly. otherwise one coil will be getting more power than the other.
