update is...when i last worked on it, everything was playing fine. built the new box, got the sub surround repaired, but the amp would overheat after playing loud for any length of time. im guessing its because the sub is truely dual .65 ohm instead of dual 1. so we just kept the volume down on it for a while. then one day, a few months later, the car was turned on, and the amp was in protect for some reason, so we cycled the ignition, and the sub played one note of the song that was playing and the amp went up in smoke. so now ive gotta get the amp repaired. and im looking to trade the sp4 for a dual 2 15" sub that will handle the gp3000 alright. or thinking of doing 2 12s ported foward and subs foward and sealed off instead.

Not a great ground.. and also, I don't want to tell you what to do, but I will suggest that you look into another amp.

Just take the time to do grounds from front battery to back, always a great option when not having a full frame car.

well i have 2 runs of 0 gauge from front to back. and i wasnt sure if i should use one of the runs for a ground or both positive...and i got responses saying that they should both be positive runs. do you think i should change one to neg? its not ofc wire so idk if it will sustain 3k rms. yeah im going to look for a different amp. its just tough to find something that is reliable for the same price that i paid for the crunch amp which is 350 shipped. esp since the amp cooked. did you have good luck with the aq 3500? i know you liked the rockford amp better, but the price difference is pretty steep. i just picked up the aq for a pair of 18 mts that i will be using in a wall but i havent heard it yet so idk
