Thanks so much for the comments guys!

Not much of an update but there will be more tomorrow!

The grill and rack after a few rainy and humid days is fully dry. I got everything back in the car and I'm loving how it looks.

Here's the grill on the car. For some reason the yellow that was on the can and the yellow that was sprayed were not at all the same. The yellow on the can was a little lighter then the yellow in my emblem but the yellow that was sprayed was more of a nacho cheese color. No big deal as I kind of like it like that and if I ever end up hating it ill just re-spray with something else.

I also got the skateboard rack finished and mounted. Here it is mounted to the underside of the trunk lid without the board.

IMG_6011.jpg

Here is the board mounted. You can't see any of the rack other then the straps holding the board on.

I'm going to try to get a video or two of the car up tomorrow since I'm leaving school early. I'm also going to try to install my side markers in the factory holes located under the side Volvo emblems(possible video), use some plastic re-conditioner/scratch remover to make my head lights look like new, and possible finish re-blackening the rest of the trim(door trim, window trim, mirrors)

Be expecting another update with more pics and hopefully at-least one video tomorrow!

Here we go first bass video is up. how low by ludacris flexing my rear deck and trunk pretty hard.

Right now im building the false floor for the trunk so there will be another update and pics tonight or tomorrow morning.

MORE MORE MORE MORE UPDATE!!!1! Finally after a few days i have the false floor almost done. All i have left is plexiglass, LED lights and to clean up the area the amps are in(wrap floor, paint wood, run wires under floor) Everyone loves pictures so here is more

I started off by making a template out of some foam board I had laying around.

IMG_6040.jpg

That got traced on to 1/8th" plywood.

IMG_6042.jpg

To get it to fit in the trunk opening I had to cut it into pieces.

IMG_6043.jpg

Here are the three pieces re-attached together with hinges.

IMG_6063.jpg

Next i got the amps put into place and put some support on the floor.

IMG_6069.jpg

Here's holes cut in to the false floor which will be covered in plexiglass so you can see the amps.

IMG_6065.jpg

Here is the floor all wrapped in some black felt.

IMG_6067.jpg

Everything put into the trunk.

IMG_6076.jpg

A side angle of the amps.

IMG_6080.jpg

So I still got a bit to do in the trunk. I still need to install the plexiglass, install the amp and port LEDs, wrap the floor the amps are on, paint the support black, hide all the wire under the amp floor, add some cooling fans, install trim around the sub box, and finally port the rear deck. Quite a bit left to do but looking back I have done a ton to this car in the short time I have owned it.

I just went ahead and ordered 4 of these LED case fans. The plan is to have two per amp blowing on to the top heat sinks. This should guarantee my amps never go into thermal protect at all over the summer. Hopefully this weekend I will be finishing up the floor for the most part.

So much work has been done since I last got a chance to update. I have almost all of the trunk done so instead of listing things off I'm going to cut straight to the pics.

Sides of the trunk floor attached with hinges and holes cut for the amps to be seen though.

Amps and floor support fit in place.

Wrapped the spare tire cover in black felt. This is the floor the amps are mounted to.

Amps neatly mounted with the wires running under the floor.

IMG_6162.jpg

Plexiglass mounted in the top floor.

IMG_6154.jpg

This relay will be used to turn on the amps, fans and all leds when the radio remote gets power.

IMG_6157.jpg

Trunk all put together with the plexiglass in.

IMG_6168.jpg

Here are the fans I bought. These are 60mm 4500RPM PC case fans with blue leds.

IMG_6221.jpg

Here's the fans on and spinning. For some reason two are blue and two are teal. If this ends up bothering me I will just de-solder the leds.

IMG_6212.jpg

These are the SMD LED strips I will be using to light up the amps and the port of my box.

IMG_6223.jpg

Port all lit up with a SMD strip. This light is very bright BLUE not purple. For some reason the brightness makes the camera think its purple.

IMG_6233.jpg

I cut holes for fans then I sanded, filled, sealed then painted the floor support.

IMG_6236.jpg

Made little grills for the fans out of some screen. This makes the difference in blue color a little less noticeable.

IMG_6240.jpg

Fans all mounted in the support.

IMG_6243.jpg

I made all the wiring in the back all tightly.

IMG_6245.jpg

Here is everything all lit up with the SMD strips installed on to the support.

IMG_6251.jpg

Tomorrow I plan to get the whole trunk back together and then all that will be left is to make the trim that is to go around the box itself. I'm loving how this is coming out. I should be posting a video on my YouTube channel soon showing a little more detail as to how the trunk looks when its all put together.

Wow. The port looks so subtle, but awesome. It's not like BLAM!!! IN YOUR FACE!!! It's just there, and it looks friggin' great! That is gonna be one clean trunk when you're done man!

Thanks a lot man. The light is just bright enough you can see it easily in the day but not so bright my trunk looks to be radiating blue at night. I don't want to sleep tonight but i have my English final tomorrow so i sort of have to. I plan to get everything back in the trunk after school tomorrow. If I can I will upload some pics before I go to see Flux Pavilion (dubstep artist) tomorrow night.

Just got home from seeing "Black and Gammon", "Cookie Monsta" and "Flux Pavilion" shit was fuckin unreal. Here's those pics of the trunk I took earlier but never had a chance to upload.

Overview of the trunk.

IMG_6258.jpg

I still need to build the trim that will go around the sub but after that I don't think there will be anything else to do in the trunk except sound deaden when I get the money and to port the rear deck. I really want to get low but the funds just aren't there yet. July 1st though I will be getting a $112 check from YouTube for my two channels so that should help out a little.
