Would 8" speakers fit in doors?

i have a 2011 Kia Sportage with 6" AP speakers in the doors, i was wondering if 8" ones would fit?

what would be the maximum depth speakers i could use without affecting my windows?

What´s the problem you have to glass it or building kickpanels till it work thats all.

If them deep you have to build deeper kickpanels that´s all.

Steve threw 8's and 6s and tweets in his doors. but he had to glass them. I dont think the doors are deep enough even for shallow mount 8's, but if your doors are the kind where the speaker sticks out a little, you may be able to fix shallow mounts in, but obviously you'd have to cut the holes larger, but you already knew that. So it's not only a matter of depth, but also diameter, and what part of the door frame (behind the panel) may be effected.

if you look up the specs for your AP 6s on google you can get the mounting depth...and go from there...as mentioned things like bracing in the door, window motors and so on may also determine if it is possible to mount 8s without fiberglassing door panels or kicks....

these Morels are very shallow at 2-13/16" and another set of Morels are 2-3/4" deep

these are just a couple options...there are cheaper and more expensive choices out there..Daytons are very well priced..if your just trying to get some nice midbass

The speakers are behind the panel, i cant find any 8" with the same depth as my 6" speakers, i had my eyes on these 6" in case i cant get some 8's

8 ohms are not good for in the car , use 4 ohms
