Tarball
Been trying to get this installed through lots of rain. Box still needs to be "finished" but is fully operational. Got the box in the truck and hooked up for some testing and waiting on funds to get the raptor kit. All I can say is WOW....I need lots more mids and highs!!!!!! It's loud!!!! I'll post some vids later on. Very pleased so far. Tarball
I used a couple of pieces of threaded rod cut down to size to help guide the 2nd sub into the box so that the bolt holes line up. First sub was easy to fix because I could still move it around from the inside of the box. Tarball
At this point I have the subs in the box and the box on the floor in the garage and my bed cover on the truck. I removed the bed cover and got the box on the truck and into place and bolted down solo, yeah, it wasn't easy. And I thought the alternator was heavy! Tarball
Just one video for now, the sound on my phone is real crappy. Tarball
How do you like the RE Subs, those are some that I have debated on getting for my S10 Blow Through? I like them. They get loud and the dig down low too. They are screaming for more power but that's expected for two 2500watt subs running on this particular amp - even at 16volt. For the record though there are other subs available these days that have a better track record, I understand there are some concerns about tinsel leads burning up and also tinsel slap on the back of the cone. These have the dual lead option as well as the felt pad on the back of the cone. The more modern solution is to sew the leads to the spiders.
